The ROWmakers design group resumes meetings for the year on 8 February, 10am for a 10.30 start.
A quilt is made over the year with each participant making their own rows (or blocks). Each month two ingredients are chosen from the menu and are to be incorporated into that month’s row or block in whatever way the maker chooses. The menu is generally divided into a colour grouping and a technical element. so you might get purple and stars as a combination. The following month you bring back what you have made for show, tell and discussion.
Here is a look at some of the final (or nearly finalised) quilts from last year. Two members chose to make quilts for the Blankets of Love program.
This long weekend Canberra Quilters are running a “retreat at home” in their premises at Cook. Members booked a table so they could have an uninterrupted block of sewing time.
