Member Dianne Firth speaks at Australian Decorative & Fine Arts Society

AUSTRALIAN DECORATIVE & FINE ARTS SOCIETY MOLONGLO PLAINS STEERING COMMITTEE invites members & visitors to be inspired by our experienced Australian lecturer Dr Dianne Firth speaking on her “Inspiration from the Land” on Thursday 25th June 2015.

Dr Dianne Firth is a landscape architect, academic & artist and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Faculty of Art & Design at the University of Canberra. 

Dianne’s textile art appears in collections in Europe, Japan, USA & Australia, including the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney and the Museum of Art & Design in New York.

In defining her art Dianne describes exploring and interpreting our distinctive Australian landscape to capture ideas in line, form, colour and texture then manipulating this visual language with materials including fabrics, leaves, metals, plastic & paper into layered, stitched, textile art forms.

We look forward to you joining us at this lecture on Thursday 25th June 2015 at 2 pm, followed by afternoon tea, at the Comfort Inn Airport International, 57 Yass Road, Queanbeyan.
