Are you spending winter at the Gold Coast or visiting Queensland in July? Here is a quilt show you might like to attend:
The Gold Coast Quilters Guild is holding its biennial Quilt Exhibition from Saturday 11th July to Sunday 2nd August, this year. As usual it will be held at The Arts Centre, Gold Coast, 135 Bundall Road, Surfers Paradise. The Exhibition will be open every day, Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and at week-ends, Saturday and Sunday 11am to 5pm. Admission is free to all.
Our members always present a wonderful and varied display of their quilts, all seen on the Gold Coast for the first time. To commemorate the 100th Anniversary, we have set members of our Guild a challenge to make a small quilt (12” square) themed ANZACS – 100 Years. These small quilts will also be displayed at our Exhibition.
This year we will have two separate raffles, each prize being a beautiful quilt made by members of the Gold Coast Quilters Guild. Tickets will be sold throughout the show ($2 each or 3 for $5) and both raffles will be drawn on the last day, 2nd August.
