Our Retreat: The CQ retreat weekend is about doing what you love in a friendly relaxed environment. You can bring a sewing machine or work by hand, participate in projects and small learning sessions, or do whatever you bring along, as well as enjoy great quilty-minded company. Come along and join us.
Location: Greenhills Conference Centre, 1437 Cotter Road, Stromlo ACT 2611
Dates: Arrival from 10am Friday, 26 October 2018 until departure by 4pm Sunday, 28 October 2018
Costs: 3 days /2 nights $240 arrival from 10am Friday onwards;
2 days /1 night $145 includes 2 x lunch, 2 x dinner, 1 night accom, 1 x breakfast;
Day stay $50 per day incl lunch and dinner
Deposit/Payments: $50 to be paid asap (fully refundable up to 4 October 2018 subject to minimum numbers being reached). Then regular payments at Thursday night monthly meetings or electronically please.
Requirements: A comprehensive requirements list is sent out several weeks prior to the retreat to help you work out what to take.
Phone/Internet: Please note that mobile/internet reception at Greenhills is patchy but they do now have free wi-fi available from 5pm Friday over the rest of the weekend.
Accommodation: Accommodation is mostly bunk style with 2 share per room (ie only lower bunks and single beds are used). Every room has a private ensuite and there is heating in case it gets cold. There are a small number of rooms that can be suitable for people with disabilities, however there is some walking involved to get to all of the rooms.
Dietary Requirements: Most special dietary requirements can be catered for.
Activities/Projects: We plan lots of these over the weekend and encourage people to offer to demonstrate an activity or a small project. Let us know if you would like to volunteer to lead an activity.
