Canberra Quilters conduct several meetings throughout the month. These are generally held on a regular schedule but do check the calendar for any variations which may occur from time to time due to Exhibition demands, public holidays and maintenance.
If you wish to book for any of our meetings during Covid restrictions, please go to the calendar and use the links below the calendar.
Evening Meetings
Evening meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month except January. Come along at 7pm as this gives you time to visit the library and catch up with friends before the 7.30pm start. They are held in the hall at the Cook Community Hub, Templeton Street, Cook.
The formal business of Canberra Quilters is conducted quickly. The rest of the meeting may involve a guest speaker, a mini quilt competition, a social activity, the ever popular name badge draw and raffle, and – everyone’s favourite – Show and Tell.
The extensive library is open for members and supper is also provided after the meeting.
Daytime Meetings
Daytime meetings are held regularly in either the hall or our premises at Cook. Everyone is welcome to attend and guests are especially welcome. Bring along something you are working on and join a table group for a few hours of relaxed sewing and chatting. Show and Tell and morning tea are always valued features of the daytime meetings!
Daytime meetings are also held at the Cook Community Hub:
- Wonderful Wednesdays Meetings: are on the third Wednesday of each month from February to November, from 9.30am to 1pm. They are at the Hall at the Cook Community Hub.
- Friendly Friday Meetings: are held at our premises in the Cook Community Hub from 10am to 2pm on the fourth Friday of the month (except December).
Everyone is welcome to stay for the Sit and Sew session afterwards
