Wonderful Wednesday meeting on 20 November

The Wonderful Wednesday meeting is this Wednesday, starting at 9.30am in the Cook Community Hub Hall. It is the final WW meeting of the year so we will be celebrating Christmas.

Membership dues for 2014 are payable by 1 January 2014. The Membership Secretary will be at the meeting to accept your payment.

Please bring a plate of food to share for morning tea and to decorations for your table.  The usual raffles and name badge draw and lucky door prize.

Members are encouraged to bring some personal care products such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gels, moisturizer. These are donated to women’s refuges at Christmas time. The December evening meeting accepts unwrapped toys and gift vouchers – these go to the children at the refuges.

Members who have completed their UFO pledge quilt are encouraged to bring it along for show & tell. The final reveal date for this year’s pledge quilts is the evening meeting on 5 December so there is still time for completion and the next two Wednesday afternoon drop-ins are set aside to help with pledge quilts.

The WW meeting is a sit and sew meeting. So bring along some hand work to keep you fingers busy. Here are some images from last month’s meeting, including results from the Tentmakers’ workshop and purchases of quilts made by the Tentmakers.
