The next Wonderful Wednesday meeting is on 15 February, from 9.30am-12.30pm in the Cook Community Hub Hall. It is followed by the drop-in in the CQ room, until 4pm.
The WW meeting is a sit and sew meeting, with a more formal stage after 11am. So bring along some handwork to do, e.g. knitting, crocheting, piecing etc. We have raffles, lucky door prizes, name badge draw, some wonderful morning tea fare and of course a themed show and tell, plus the regular show and tell. If you are a newcomer or you haven’t been for a while PLEASE come and sit with the convenor Christine Stewart’s table near the stage, until you get better acquainted with the other members.
The special show & tell will be Japanese quilts and objects , plus Creative Clothing displaying what they have made. The Japanese could be quilts made with Japanese fabric, in a Japanese style or it could be something you have made in the Small Japanese Projects group.
(Quilt in banner is by Karin Malmberg- made during the 2016 ROWmakers design group meetings. It uses Japanese fabrics and chiku-chiku stitching for the quilting.)
