The next QFO working bee is on Tuesday 10 March, between 10am and 2.30pm. QFO volunteers make quilts for various charitable and support organizations around Canberra. They also co-ordinated the making of quilts for the Common Ground housing project.
Each month this quilting bee is held where members cut out quilt kits, sew blocks, baste quilts ready for quilting, bind and label quilts ready for distribution. At the start of 2015 the cupboard is bare as all the quilts were donated prior to Christmas. If you can come and help on the day, or take something home to quilt, that would be great.
Tea and coffee provided, BYO lunch. Bring your own sewing tools (hand or machine). Remember there are some CQ Bernina machines available for use if you are unable to bring your machine.
