Evening Meeting- 6 July

The evening meeting is this Thursday, 6 July, 7pm for a 7.30pm start, in the Hall at the Cook Community Hub. The meeting starts with formal committee (and other) reports and news followed by an activity.

This month there is a special show & tell –  favourite quilts! We have assembled a panel of Canberra Quilters members to talk about their favourite quilts and you might be surprised to see what they are. We’ll also be asking you to bring your favourite quilts along and share the stories behind why they are your favourite. Get to know your fellow members through their favourite quilts.

Please bring something along for regular show & tell – we all like to see what everyone is working on.

All the usual meeting fun- lucky door prize, badge draw, raffle and regular show and tell. Don’t forget to stay and chat over a cuppa and check out the show and tell.

Don’t forget to pick up a book of tickets for the exhibition raffle – funds raised support Canberra Quilters activities. The raffle co-ordinator is looking for volunteers to sell tickets at two upcoming events: The Addicted to Fabric Sale, on Friday and Saturday, and the Creative Fibre Day at the Old Bus Depot Markets on Sunday 9 July.

Library will be open for this meeting so come along to return books and borrow more.
