Library will be open for this meeting so come along to return books and borrow more.

Don’t forget memberships are due on 1 January – Elaine will be at the meeting to take your money! Renew early so you don’t forget over the holidays.

Last month’s special activity was a presentation on the Days for Girls project. Information about Days for Girls is available on this website –  http://www.daysforgirls.org Donations of the following can still be made to Louise Fredericks, at this meeting:

  • Boxes of large Ziplock plastic bags (gallon bags from Costco are ideal)
  • Underwear (packaged, new) – girls sizes 12-14 and women sizes up to 10 – 12
  • 100% cotton quilters fabric and flannelette

For underwear and fabric: bright and patterns, no light colours, no faces or animals. Patterns are good but not too modern patterns, e.g. stripes are great. Please bring these donations to any of the September, October and November meetings.
