Evening Meeting – 2 August

The evening meeting is this Thursday, 2 August, 7pm for a 7.30pm start, in the Hall at the Cook Community Hub. The meeting starts with formal committee (and other) reports and news, followed by an activity:

Collective Quilt Making

  • Bring a needle, thread and scissors: we will be sewing… Details on the night. Join us to create for our community.
  • Introducing: “The Pink Project”.
  • And remember to bring your doodle journal!

Don’t forget to pick up some raffle tickets to sell. The proceeds of the raffle support Canberra Quilters with the operating expenses of running our room, our activities, and the exhibition. It is a very important fundraiser.

Please bring something along for show & tell. We all like to see what everyone is working on.

All the usual meeting fun – lucky door prize, badge draw, raffle and regular show and tell. Don’t forget to stay and chat over a cuppa and check out the show and tell.

Library will not be open at this meeting as the room is being used for quilt exhibition preparation. The returns box will be in the corridor.

Lost and Found

Have you lost this sewing bag? It was found in the Hall recently, but there is noting to identify the owner. Talk to Christine Stewart to recover your property!
