Australasian Quilt Convention (AQC) 2016

AQC is over for another year and the organisers have announced the dates for next year: April 14 – 17, 2016; Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton Gardens, Melbourne.

Announcing the theme for the 2016 AQC Challenge: Expertise Events is pleased to advise that the theme will be Tradition with a Twist. Quilters are invited to start creating now – the size will again be 90cm square and entries are judged on interpretation of theme, design and workmanship.

At the 2015 Quilt Convention Gala Dinner a number of awards were bestowed – the National Quilt Award from Bernina went to Linda White for her remarkable creation comprised of 22,500 quarter-inch hexagons.
