One of our neighbours at the Cook Community Hub, the ACT Playgroups Association, is holding their annual PlayFEST event, as part of National Children’s Week. PlayFEST is on Tuesday 25 October, in and around the Hall at the Cook Community Hub.
Canberra Quilters will be having a table at this event as a way of providing information to parents and carers.
ACT Playgroups Association are inviting parents, carers and children under six to join us for this event. PlayFEST offers adults the chance to gather important information and parenting resources and for the children there will be lots of FREE, exciting, fun play-based activities and entertainment.
Children’s Week 2016 is celebrating the 26th anniversary of Australia signing the U.N. Convention on Children’s Rights. In line with the National Children’s Week event, our theme for PlayFEST will be ‘‘Children Have the Right to Reliable Information From the Media’. ACT Playgroups will interpret this into a multitude of activities for children to take part in.

- Event time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (although the advertised hours are 10am – 1pm, we will be inviting families with children with additional needs to come at 9.30am for a less crowded experience so we would appreciate you being set up by 9.30 am with any relevant/inclusive information and activities)
