One of Canberra Quilters’ sponsors, The Crafty Frog, is circulating a request for volunteers to help out at one of Canberra’s nursing homes:
In order to assist with brightening the day for all the residents, Crafty Frog, in conjunction with the wonderful activities coordinator are organising Sit and Chat/Knit/Embroider/Crochet/Bead or whatever sessions with residents of David Harper House, Goodwin – located at Monash ACT – and I desperately need more volunteers to ensure that no one person has to be present every week, rather we can organise a roster where each one of us will only have to go once a month – of course if you’d like to go more that would be wonderful. In order to work with the residents you first MUST attend a training session in the Activities Centre next door to David Harper House in Cockcroft Avenue, Monash.
If you’re able to help out, please contact Laura at the Crafty Frog, either in store, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone on 6296 6240.
