An edited report from Joanne:
We had a lovely meeting on Wednesday. There seemed to be a lot of energy in the room, so it should be a productive year.
We saw some more completed quilt tops and hopefully there’ll be more over the next few months. Please continue to bring them in – I think it gives everyone a bit of a buzz.
The first month’s INGREDIENTS were chosen and they’re not too restrictive.(Listed at end)
(Listening to some of the comments after the choices were made, I’ve decided to edit one of the categories. “A TOUCH OF SPICE” category 11 now reads ‘BORROWED/SWAPPED/GIFTED’)
Look forward to seeing some really interesting blocks next month,
INGREDIENTS, MONTH 1:
- COLOUR BY NUMBERS…4. Grass, Apple, Lime, Emerald, Olive, Bottle, Sage (Joan)
- A TOUCH OF SPICE………11. BORROWED/SWAPPED/GIFTED (Jenny)
- ALPHABET SOUP………….”P” (Pat)

The next meeting is on Wednesday 11 March. 10am for a 10.30 start. To be in the draw to choose the next lot of ‘ingredients’ you have to bring your block/ row/ object, incorporating this month’s ingredients. As outlined in the guidelines:
… each monthly BLOCK should include that month’s CHALLENGE INGREDIENTS. At each meeting three participants will choose an ingredient, one from each list in the attachment – “2015 ROWMAKERS INGREDIENTS” (See post for lists). Not all three ingredients have to be included, two will be enough.
