The first Friendly Friday meeting of the year will be held in the CQ room tomorrow, starting at 10am until 1pm. Members hand stitch, chat, have morning tea, show and tell.
It is followed by the beginning of the Retreat at Home long weekend.
A special visitor to the FF meeting is Dr Christina Henri, the conceptual artist behind the Roses from the Heart project. This involves the production of bonnets representing the 25266 women transported to Australia as convicts. Christina is also Tasmania’s nominee as Senior Australian of the Year.
