All the usual meeting fun- lucky door prize, badge draw, raffle and regular show and tell. Don’t forget to stay and chat over a cuppa and check out the show and tell.

Bring a plate of food to share over the cuppa, to help celebrate Christmas.

Library will be open before this meeting, so stock up for some summer projects.

Canberra Quilters has a tradition of donating a gift for those less fortunate or having a challenging season. We’d love for you to bring along a gift (not wrapped) and place it in the box we will have available. The gift can be for a child or a Mum, or you can donate funds towards the wrapping and distribution of these gifts. CQ takes the gifts to a charity who determines the recipient and wraps the gifts before giving at Christmas time. Please consider continuing our tradition and helping a family with your gift of a present or helpful funds. Gifts can be in a bag but please do not gift wrap them. The donation box will be in the hall during our December meeting..

FAT QUARTER SWAP

To celebrate the festive season and to have some fun with fabric Canberra Quilters will be hosting a Fat Quarter Swap at the December Members Meeting. Here’s how you can participate:

  1. Bring a FQ wrapped in gift wrapping (or brown paper or newspaper)
  2. Pop the FQ into the mystery FQ box.
  3. When it’s your turn you’ll get to remove a FQ from the box.

The more wrapped FQ’s you bring the more you can take from the box. Simple!

If you’d like to include some additional extras with your wrapped FQ that’s totally up to you and not mandatory. Let’s have some fun with fabric and add some spice and variety to our stashes!
