Evening Meeting- 4 December

The evening meeting on 4 December is the target date for all those who took the UFO pledge and committed to finish a UFO quilt project this year. The completed quilts and their stories will be revealed at the meeting, which starts at 7.30pm in the Cook Community Hub Hall.

Even if you haven’t completed your pledge quilt – bring along your progress effort so we can all see what you have achieved.

The evening meeting is the last for the calendar year and will have all the usual fun of show & tell, raffles, lucky door prize and name badge draw. You can also renew your membership (at the old rate!) and return your completed survey.

In order to have a big show & tell to wrap up the year why not bring a quilt you have finished this year, or something you have started in one of the workshops this year – inspire and enthuse us for next year.

In keeping with our tradition of giving, members may bring unwrapped toys, or gift vouchers, to be placed in a basket at the meeting. These will be passed on to one of the charities.

The library will be open in the CQ room, after the meeting. Members can borrow books, magazines and DVDs and keep them until the February meeting – something to while away the hours if it is too hot to quilt. Supper will be available in the hallway outside our room – come for some Christmas cake.
