CQ discovers a new favourite gadget – witch fingers

A happy discovery – the currently available Halloween toy witch fingers make great devices for guiding difficult pieces of fabric through the machine. It keeps your finger tip safe from the machine needle and can also be used as a pressing tool. Here are some members trying it out at the Sew-in that ran over the weekend:

Needless to say there were many finger jokes over the weekend. Witch fingers are available in packs of 10 in supermarkets and are a cheap, but ugly, way to keep your finger safe. It is also less awkward than holding a satay stick, chopstick, awl or stiletto.
