Connect and Participate Expo 2015 – Saturday 28 March at Old Bus Depot Market

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Connect and Participate Expo is a free event that brings together a diverse range of groups and clubs to showcase what they offer members and provide a forum for Canberrans to engage, face to face, with group leaders and members.

The expo provides opportunities for Canberrans to meet like minded people and have an opportunity to join a group. Details about the Expo are available here.

Canberra Quilters have a stall booked for this event and need members to come along and join in the fun.  The event runs from 11 am until 4 pm, and we need at least two people for each of the five one-hour periods to staff the stall and do some sewing. Of course, you can spend more than one session if you wish.

There will be a couple of small make and take projects provided for you to show people, as well as doing your own hand or machine projects as a form of demonstration.  Last year we had some ladies doing English paper piecing, which is always interesting to see.  As always, there will be postcards and membership information to hand out.   A machine will be provided for those who need it.

It will be an enjoyable day and an opportunity to catch up on some projects and some gossip at the same time – Perfect!

If you can join us, please send your contact details and preferred time/s to Karen Brown at: publicityofficer@canberraquilters.org.au
