- sit and stitch and chat
Don’t forget that memberships for Canberra Quilters are now overdue. Very important that you renew or join – because that was how you get to keep coming to our group! And you have to join soon if you want to enter into the exhibition this year.

The Creative Clothing Interest Group Meeting scheduled for today has been cancelled. The next meeting of the group is scheduled for 9 October.
The Creative Clothing Interest Group resumes meeting after the break for the exhibition. The start time is 10am in the CQ room. The last meeting was actually a trip to Goulburn – you can see some of the action on the Canberra Quilters Instagram page – link Plans for this meeting(edited from Sandra’s bulletin) :
- Lincraft project idea (suggested by Louise) for making a cloth doll for charity would be undertaken. Louise will bring templates of the doll to be cut out of calico. Donna has kindly offered to bring the calico. You will need to bring any resources you have that would be suitable for filling the doll, eg bits of wadding. Also you should bring a sewing kit that includes scissors, thread, needles, pins, etc.
- Post-Exhibition Discussion – Thank you to those people who entered their garments and accessories in the Exhibition. Please bring along any suggestions or ideas you might have for improving next year’s presentation and content.
- Creative Clothing Challenge for 2015 It would be great to have another group challenge which we could be started this year. Bring along ideas so a decision can be made.
