Canberra Quilters at the Sydney Quilt Show

The NSW Quilters Guild quilt show is on at the moment as part of the Sydney Craft and Quilt Fair.

Some Canberra Quilters are also members of this organization and have submitted quilts for the exhibition. It is a judged show an d the following have won awards or places. Congratulations to all who have exhibited. Some of the quilts were shown in the CQ show last year and some will make their appearance this year.

Beverley Hunter – Bernina Amateur Encouragement Award for Daisy a Day and Narelle Grieve Award for Excellence in Amateur Hand Quilting for Pastel Medallion

Lynda Nikolovski – Judges Commendation in Traditional 1.2 Predominantly Machine Quilted for Critters Garden

Helen Godden – 4th place in Pictorial Quilts for Rainbow Lorikeet

Janelle Noack – 2nd place in Commercially Quilted  Machine Quilted: Large for Retreat Station  Quilted by Sarah Lennon, Piece by Piece Quilting

Michelle Law – 1st place in Modern – New Tradition from Old Favourites for Across the Universe (You may recognise this quilt behind the Membership button on our home page)

Joanne Barraclough – 3rd place in  Modern – New Tradition from Old Favourites for Shattered
